Channel Energy Services is seeking –

Directional Driller Supervisor

General Requirements:

The Directional Driller will provide on-site supervision of the Directional Drilling Program including projection of well path to pre-determined target coordinates. Advise client on Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) selection and all aspects of Directional Drilling Performance during operations. Must be proficient with in the use of Directional Drilling computer software with an ability to provide well informed analysis to client representative at the work site. Work duties will include but are not limited to well-to-well anti-collision calculations, Direction and Inclination, gamma, BHA analysis and vibration analysis. Must possess excellent communication, organization and an ability to troubleshoot with on-site teams. Maintain a positive attitude and high degree of self-discipline. Capable of providing a quality service is paramount.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Senior directional drilling and provides supervision to the directional drilling operations at the wellsite that ensures the desired directional / horizontal well path and desired drilling targets are achieved in a fast, safe and economic manner.
• Works to deliver exceptional quality of services to meet or exceed client expectations and company standards
• Responsible for the operation, inspection and maintenance of all directional downhole tools at rig site
• Ability to resolve human resource problems/issues at local level
• Assist in marketing, sales and promotion of company products and services
• Responsible for the generation and content of daily drilling reports and the final end of well report
• Responsible for maintaining field well profile plots and providing customer with all directional surveys
• Manages inventory and consumables for Directional Drilling operations
• Responsible for supervision, mentoring and training of less experienced Directional Drillers
• Self-sufficient, ability to work under demanding conditions

Knowledge, Skills and abilities:
• Exhibits exceptional knowledge of the Directional Drilling and MWD environment
• Experience and ability to solve problems in a highly dynamic environment
• Thorough knowledge of Drilling Systems products and services
• Strong skills in drilling calculations and Drilling report generation

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Verifiable 5+ years of Directional Drilling experience
• All pertinent HSE training and certificates
• Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship
• Must reside in the continental US

• Exceptionally well developed communication skills
• Excellent computer skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Earth Sciences
• 7+ years experience
