Jim is a versatile and energetic leader with a strong
leadership track record in the energy services
industry. With over 25 years of professional
experience, his insight and entrepreneurial spirit
have been critical to the growth and development of
Channel Energy Services.
Jim has previously held numerous leadership and
technical roles with companies such as NOV and
Schlumberger. During his tenure, Jim was
responsible for overseeing critical safety, training
and personnel development projects, as well as
managing the logistics for several highly complex
drilling programs. Having spent a considerable time
in the field, Jim understands how to best navigate
the challenges a team can experience on site, or in
the boardroom.
Prior to expanding his experience into the energy
industry, Jim has enjoyed multiple entrepreneurial
successes, having previously started several
independent businesses in the construction sector,
each generating millions of dollars in revenue, while
employing dozens of professional and skilled
individuals.

Sean Gryger

Director of Geological Sciences, Oil and Gas Properties

Sean Gryger received dual B.S. degrees in Geology and Marine Science from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, Galloway, NJ and a M.S Degree in Geological Sciences, Jackson School of Geosciences, University of Texas at Austin, Austin, TX. He is a consulting Geoscientist and Geologist with experience in the following areas: Geologic diligence for acquisitions and divestitures. Targeting conventional assets in west Texas, East Texas, Gulf Coast and South Dakota. Development strategy for existing assets in Caldwell County, TX. Completed subsurface analysis and built marketing package for Chambers County, TX lease on Barber’s Hill salt dome and Galveston County, TX lease on High Island salt dome. Both properties were successfully leased. Well planning and geo-steering, Integration of seismic, offset well control and regional geology to minimize pre-drill subsurface uncertainty and geologic risk. 24 hour supervision of drilling and steering activities during the curve and lateral portion of wells. Drilled over 100 wells to date (with better than 90% in zone) in Karnes, Atascosa, Live Oak and Gonzalez counties, TX. Drilled Marathon’s first Austin Chalk lateral wells in Karnes and Atascosa counties, TX. Company record holder for fastest Eagle Ford well. Well site operations: Management and planning for open-hole logging (triple and quad combo) and whole core collection. Collaboration with directional drillers, MWD services and mud/gas logging services. Sean is a experienced with and actively promotes Well site safety practices and procedures.

Sean also served as a Geology teaching assistant at the Jackson School of Geosciences, University of Texas, Austin, Texas.
